Coming up at Holy Apostles
Give a Family Christmas
Share the holidays with PS 15 by giving gifts to students and their families. Expect to spend $30+ per person. We will have wish lists and book recommendations, so you will have guidance in your purchases.
Information about when and how to drop off gifts will be forthcoming. If you are interested in participating in the gift drive this year please click here to fill out the form.
So far folks at Holy Apostles have signed up to get gifts for 68 individuals. We are hoping to fill the needs of 60-70 MORE. Help share the joy of Christmas with our neighbors.
Pledge Update
We've completed our third week of our annual giving campaign at Holy Apostles with 50 pledges totaling $159,435—we are more than 60 % to our goal of $250,000! This is amazing and a real testament to the commitment of our community to make Holy Apostles a vibrant and welcoming neighborhood church.
As we come upon Thanksgiving we are so grateful for the myriad of ways we come together as the church to support the ministries at Holy Apostles – through pledging, giving to the discretionary fund, volunteering to serve, offering your creative gifts and so much more.
Thank you to all who have pledged so far. For those of you who would like to pledge and help us reach our goal so that we can continue to offer the programming and worship that helps to make Holy Apostles so special, fill out your pledge card on Realm.
Outreach with PS 15
Bring in Food Gift Cards: Migrant families staying in the Brooklyn Motor Home do not have access to kitchens or cooking facilities. We would like to get families $25 dollar gift cars to fast food style restaurants (you can buy these type of gift cards at Walgreens). Restaurants to consider are places like Chipotle, Chik-fil-A, McDonalds, etc.
Reader Support: Read one on one with students at PS 15 during the school day. Provide these children this basic opportunity and get to spend some time connecting with others. Email Alyson Campbell here to express interest.
God’s Love We Deliver: Thanksgiving
Share Abundance this Thanksgiving: What better way to give thanks than by volunteering with God's Love We Deliver? The holiday may still be weeks away, but already GLWD is organizing volunteers: you can find all the info and sign up on this website. Peter Saghir will lead a brief time of prayer and reflection for Holy Apostles parishioners at 9:30 a.m. at the church before volunteers disperse for meal deliveries. If you are delivering meals and would like to join with others at Church at 9:30am please email Peter here. If you wish to volunteer, you must sign up on the GLWD website.
