Giving is a spiritual practice. As Christians, we learn to give our first fruits, not our last, to God, in thanksgiving for all the gifts God has given us, especially our lives, our worshipping community and of course, Jesus Christ.
- Pledge: A pledge is a promise, a commitment, to Holy Apostles for what you will give for a calendar year. Anyone who wishes to can pledge. Once a year, in November, we have an ingathering to offer our pledges together. If you miss that date, no worries, you can still pledge! Fill out a pledge card, put it in the offertory plate or give it to the Mothers. Then you can give online through OnRealm, or use envelopes.
- Giving without Pledging: Not ready to pledge but want to give regularly? Use envelopes or give online through OnRealm.
- Give when you can: Want to give when you can? You can place cash or a check in the plate when it comes around.
Our parish is in the midst of a 5-year plan towards financial independence as we currently receive financial assistance from our diocese to pay for two clergy through December 2021. Our goal for 2019 was $90,000 in pledges, and we surpassed that with $101,094. Our goal for 2020 is $140,000 in pledges. We know that will mean many of us reflecting on where God is moving in our life and considering how increasing our giving to Holy Apostles leads to the spreading of God’s kingdom in Windsor Terrace and beyond.
