Confirmation & Receptions

Confirmation is the moment when as an adult (or a teen who is adequately prepared) makes a public affirmation of their faith and a commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism in the presence of a bishop and receive laying on of hands.

Reception is an official welcome into the Episcopal Church from another tradition with laying on of hands from a bishop.

Reaffirmation of Faith is often appropriate after a time away from the church as a time of committing again to our Baptismal vows and a laying on of hands from a bishop.
