Accordionist Will Holshouser’s music draws on a wide variety of inspirations from traditional accordion folk styles to jazz, hymns, classical and experimental music. Involving simple melodies, pulsating rhythms and improvisation, Will’s music celebrates the accordion’s expressiveness and sense of fun. His trio with master improvisers Ron Horton (trumpet) and Dave Phillips (bass) began playing together in the late 1990s and has a special chemistry all its own. They have made three albums for the Portuguese label Clean Feed and toured in several countries. All three musicians are veterans of the New York scene and have played with a wide variety of jazz and world music artists. They will be joined by special guest Anna Holshouser-Belden on violin.

"Will Holshouser's utterly unconventional accordion-led chamber trio . . . is a beautiful thing." --Jeff Stockton, All About Jazz New York
